Chairs and Cars

After dinner today Keegan decided that the house needed rearranging. He has done this a couple times before but tonight he was especially serious about it. He decided that all of the chairs in the kitchen needed to be put in a straight line running from the sunroom through the kitchen to the living room. I mean all the chairs too. So it was the six kitchen chairs and the two bar stool chairs that ended up being put in quite a long line.

He was very intent on it. Probably took him 20 minutes to do. Then he walked up and down the line to make sure they were absolutely perfect. After that he stopped at the end of the row and threw his hands up in the air yelling "Yay!!!" He was so proud of himself. Of course we were obliged to clap for him and congratulate him on his successful lining up of chairs.

Of course he had trapped Ruby in the sunroom with his train of chairs but she didn't seem to mind all that much because Keegan also couldn't get into the sunroom.

Then the chairs were quickly ignored and it was onto the next project. He had a bowl of cheerios sitting on the coffee table for a snack. Then suddenly he got an idea and took off running into the playroom. He came out with one of his Little People cars and started stacking cheerios in it. Apparently a little people car is something like a 7 cheerio vehicle. Then it was time to run the car into the banister to see if the cheerios would stay in the car or fall out. Whenever a cheerio didn't survive the crash Keegan would stop, put his hands on his head, and say "Oh, no!"

Unfortunately the pushing by hand then moved to kicking the car around the kitchen and the cheerio passengers couldn't survive that....

All-in-all it was a pretty typical Sunday night :-)
