So there's been something mysterious going on at daycare lately. When you walk through the daycare with Keegan *everyone* knows who he is. As I leave with him, all the employees there are like "bye Keegan", "see you tomorrow Keegan", etc. He smiles at them all and we leave. He only has three teachers that teach in his classroom so Lyle and I have been trying to figure out how everyone, even people Lyle and I don't know, know Keegan.
The mystery was solved this morning. Keegan gets dropped off by Lyle some time between 6:30 and 7:00am. Then I pick him up between 3-3:30pm. As such, Keegan is usually the first baby in the infant room and the first baby to leave in the afternoon. This morning when Lyle dropped Keegan off, Keegan was, once again the first baby there. So Lyle gave him to the lead teacher, Alexa, and then went to put Keegan's car seat back with the other car seats. On his way out Lyle noticed that neither Keegan nor Alexa were in the infant room. Instead Alexa and Keegan were walking around the daycare saying good morning to everyone. Keegan is a very easy smiler.
So he and his teacher go around in the morning and say "Hi" to everyone and he smiles at them. Mystery solved: that's how everyone at the daycare knows who Keegan is. He greets them every morning with his big toothless grin. Lyle and I both thought it was funny. I am happy he is getting all that personal attention and that he is such a well liked baby :-) It's great that he is so willing to interact with all those different people there! Hopefully he'll grow into being a well-like kid too!!!
Anyway, thought I would dictate the story while it was fresh in my mind. Now back to work!
