Thank you one and all

Thanks to everyone who came to Keegan's party over the weekend. That is right Keegan turned 1 last Wednesday (Happy B-Day buddy if you ever read this). Anyway we had his party on Saturday, and he seemed to have a pretty good time. Keegan got some nice gifts, and played with them a fair amount yesterday since we were not going anywhere because of the cold. He did get a couple of presents on his birthday too, and has been having fun with those as well. The toy that we bought for him is a large car looking thing that has a handle coming up the back to push him around in. We actually bought that for when the weather gets warmer and we can take him outside on walks in that instead of his stroller. I think he will like that better. Keegan has been playing in it since he opened the box, and loves it. The only problem is that Karissa and I have to expend a lot more energy pushing him around in that then he does ;).

Other than that the weekend was kind of a downer. Karissa and I are both sick, and Keegan has an ear infection, so it wasn't an especially happy weekend around our house. Actually being at work today I still feel quite ill, and Karissa stayed home.

Ok, so the other thing of note is that Keegan had his one year appointment on Thursday. Keegan got a couple of shots. The doctor said he was doing good for height and weight (23lbs & 29"). Dr. Kuku said she was happy to see he still has a little pot belly going on, cause that means he is still eating well. I can really attest to that most of the time, though some days he doesn't eat much. I have read that a child will self-regulate their eating, and I think for the most part we have been adhering to what Keegan wants to do for eating. Though Karissa goes overboard sometimes when he hasn't eaten very well for a day or two in a row.

So there you have it, Keegan's 1 year update! Hope you all are doing good out there! Next on our list is our trip to Florida! We are looking forward to that.
